Here is presented all of the work in progress since the handing in for Practice Two.
Below is a video walk around the studio
My most recent work are some drawings for sculpture I have been working on in the studio.
I made a large scale pink paper sculpture, this is very much a work in progress and here are some process photographs
I have made a series of maquettes and small sculptures with casting in mind. I am thinking about what materials to use and am considering plaster and resin
I made two sculptures using wire, folding it like the paper sculptures I am also making.
I had a trip to Henry Moore Foundation where I started to think about having interventions of my own in the landscape, using the materials I had been discovering on walks like the wire below made me think how I could contort common materials but in a way I am developing other forms of sculpture.

Next Steps
As this is at the very beginning of the term it is very much a start rather than a review of work.
I aim to experiment further with casting both in resin, plaster and ceramic slip.
I want to make some of the planar sculptures I have got as card maquettes by welding pieces of etched metal together.
I am delving into the work of Eva Hesse, Cy Twombly and Sarah Lucus in more detail and want to find ways to explore my own language whilst picking up tips from these artists about expression, abstraction and storytelling.
